Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about Cambridge Exam AI and our preparation tools.
What is Cambridge Exam AI?
Cambridge Exam AI is an online platform dedicated to helping students prepare for Cambridge English exams (B1, B2, C1, and C2). You can create custom exercises by talking to an AI - simply describe what you need, and get your exercise instantly! Our AI models are trained on thousands of real Cambridge English exam papers, ensuring exercises that feel authentic and exam-accurate.
Which Cambridge exams can I prepare for?
We support all four main Cambridge English Qualification levels: B1 Preliminary (PET), B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), and C2 Proficiency (CPE). Each level includes comprehensive practice for Reading, Use of English, Grammar, and Writing sections. All exercises are designed to match the real exam format and difficulty.
How do I create an exercise?
Creating an exercise is easy! First, choose your level (B1, B2, C1, or C2) and course (Reading, Use of English, Grammar, or Writing). Then select the exercise type (like open cloze, word formation, multiple choice, etc.) and the tone you prefer. Finally, write a prompt describing what you need - for example: 'Create a multiple choice exercise focusing on verbs followed by prepositions.' The AI will generate your custom exercise instantly!
How does the credit system work?
PRO users receive 150 AI Credits every month (or 30 every week in the weekly plan). Generating a Reading, Use of English, or Grammar exercise costs 1 credit. Writing exercises cost 0.5 credits to generate, and submitting a writing exercise for instant AI evaluation costs another 0.5 credits. You can track how you spend and earn credits in your AI Credits Ledger - it works just like a bank account transaction history!
Does solving exercises cost credits?
No — solving exercises is completely free for any active subscriber, regardless of plan. Credits are only consumed when you create a new exercise (1 credit), create a writing exercise (0.5 credits), or submit a writing for AI evaluation (0.5 credits). Think of credits as your creation budget, not your usage budget. Once an exercise exists, you can solve it as many times as you like, for free, whether you created it or not.
What's included in the free plan?
The free plan gives you 2 credits to create your custom exercises, plus 3 free solvings to try the platform. Once those are used, you can solve 1 exercise per day for free. This lets you experience our platform and see if it's right for you before subscribing.
