A good B2 task should push you to notice common word partnerships and fixed phrases, rather than just translating single words. For example, you might need to choose a verb that naturally (2) .......... with a noun, or a preposition that is typically used after an adjective. It also helps if the text has a clear topic, so you can (3) .......... meaning from the context. When you meet an unfamiliar word, don’t panic: try to work out what it means, and only (4) .......... to a dictionary if you really have to. Finally, progress depends on regular practice. If you do a short cloze every day, you will (5) .......... up useful chunks and start using them automatically. Over time, you’ll become more (6) .......... at spotting the one option that fits both grammar and meaning. So aim for “medium-hard”: difficult enough to stretch you, but still (7) .......... reach. That way, you stay motivated and your vocabulary grows (8) .......... by step.
